Our new film and our best wishes of a Merry Christmas!

Christmas is almost here, and as an early gift we want to share with you our new film that we created in collaboration with the Scottish writer Billy Kay. Our short film explores Scotland’s rich European history, from trade and intellectual ties all the way to politics, and also celebrates the work of some great Europeans that were inspired by Scottish philosophy and literature.

You can watch the ten minute film on our website or by clicking on the image below. If you like you can also watch an hour long discussion between Europe for Scotland’s coordinator Nina Jetter and Billy Kay here.

Nina and Billy started working on the script all the way back in May, so the film has been a long time in the making! Do share with us which anecdote from the film is your favourite and we may explore this story in greater depth in the future!

If you appreciate our work and are in a position to contribute to our campaign please consider sending us a donation as a Christmas gift this year – it will help us continue the work we do in the new year and build momentum in Europe, where our recent gatherings of solidarity in Rome, Paris, Berlin, Munich, Skive, Dublin and Brussels received such positive attention that we can’t wait to repeat them on a bigger scale – more on this in the new year.

Thank you in advance for your help, and thanks to everybody who has already donated. We appreciate your kindness so much. We’re just starting to send out rewards and promise that everybody who has donated more than ten pounds will receive a card from us (and gifts according to our reward scheme) very soon! ❤️

Our warmest regards for the holidays. We will be celebrating with our own different European traditions but also very much look forward to listening to some of the music featured in our film, which conveys so much of what we love about Scotland.

Merry Christmas!
