On the day Scots celebrate their nation saint, we are getting serious.
So if you’re not dancing at a ceilidh tonight or enjoying an early haggis dinner, do join us at 6pm Edinburgh time when we’ll launch a new petition in the run up to the first European parliamentary elections in which Scots cannot vote.
The event, with the participation of campaigner and journalist Lesley Riddoch, Morag Williamson (Yes for EU) and Olaf Stando (SNP), will be livestreamed on Independence Live YouTube channel and on our Facebook page from 6 pm.
As a new EU Parliament is elected, which will shape a new historic expansion of the EU, it’s important for Scots to remind their friends in Europe that Scotland never voted to leave the EU, would like its seat back at the table and therefore should be on the agenda in Brussels when the EU plans its enlargement in the coming months and years.
Help us spread the word so that Europe can hear Scotland’s voice loud and clear!
If you are a Scot, sign the petition and share this link with your friends and colleagues.
And if you have questions you would like to ask us, email us to info@europeforscotland.com. We are very happy to discuss our plan with you.
In European solidarity
